The biblical sandals are a wearable object defined by 2 adjustable buckled straps capturing both the feet and the spirit of local style that goes back to ancient times and until modern days.

It has a strong place in our modern days style and culture here in Israel, starting with first settlers coming from Europe in the 19th century, continue with the Kibbutz ( A small agriculture and shared societies ), and goes until the style of the 70’ bohemians in Tel Aviv. Everyone at one time in their life was wearing this comfortable nonchalant sandal.

Growing up in a Kibbutz herself, Designer Shani Lax found this style to be a deep
inspiration to our “PARDES” collection (meaning "Orchard" in Hebrew). drawing from childhood pictures and memories – and relaunching it to this new era of minimalistic fashion.
